As we congratulate our Senator Elect (R) Dave McCormick for winning against incumbent (D) Bob Casey, things aren't going as smoothly as we hoped. Giving up the position of power has been a hard pill for (D) Bob Casey to swallow. Casey has shared several Facebook posts indicating signs that he will not accept the election results. It is clear that Casey is in disbelief and refuses to concede. Bob Casey has been pouting for days to the point of requesting a recount. This level of disbelief leads me to think that professional mental help may be needed for Casey in the near future. The reality is that Pennsylvania voted Casey out because people simply wanted new and better leadership. For decades Bob Casey Jr. and his father Bob Casey Sr. have held seats in government. I assume Bob Casey Jr. feels entitled. Pennsylvanians have expressed deep concern about not only the state but the direction our country is headed in. Bob Casey has gotten comfortable and has excused the issues this state is currently facing. Although Casey refuses to accept the lost, Dave McCormick was still invited to attend Senate orientation on Capitol Hill. McCormick also posted pictures of his new office on social media. It's reported that Dave McCormick leads with 40,000 more votes than Bob Casey. I can vouch that while I have personally worked on Dave McCormick’s campaign I have spoken with thousands of voters, both democrat and republican who favored Dave McCormick. Those who were democrats were eager for change. Furthermore, although many Black Americans in Pennsylvania are familiar with Bob Casey they expressed that Dave McCormick would be their candidate of choice on election day. Dave McCormick has campaigned all over Pennsylvania including parts of Philadelphia, specifically North Philadelphia where voters were more likely to vote democrat. It seems to me Dave’s hard work has finally paid off. Dave McCormick lost the Republican primary to Mehmet Oz back in 2022 but chose to run again for the love of our country. Casey assumed his Senate seat was secured which probably led him to believe he didn't need to convince voters as much as he has done in the past. America has spoken and we are electing those who are sincere and serious about making our country great again!
